Vixen Condoms

From Marie Stopes International~

Vixen condoms are a new charity condom brand, available in Australia and New Zealand, designed with women in mind. We started by talking to young women, who told us that they wanted to get rid of the macho imagery and writhing naked people on cardboard boxes. So Vixen condoms come in a discrete, attractive tin that fits in your purse and doesn't scream 'Condoms!!!'. The individual condom wrappers are also fingernail-friendly and very easy to open ... an important consideration when time is of the essence.

$1 from every pack of Vixen condoms goes to the Marie Stopes Sex Appeal ~ which helps to provide essential sexual and reproductive health services in developing countries in the Asia and Pacific region ... so next time you're stocking up, consider 'doing it for charity' ;-)

Vixen condoms are available in all Kmart and Brazilian Butterfly stores and other selected stockists.

Vixen Condoms aim to encourage more women to purchase condoms and improve the sexual and reproductive health of women and their partners. The project, a collaboration between Marie Stopes International Australia (MSIA) and Cottons, Australian owned feminine hygiene company, has been launched to encourage women to take control of their sexuality in a fun and feminine way.

Vixen has transformed condoms from an awkward, masculine product into a gorgeous, feminine accessory that fits in a handbag. Presented in a sexy and glamorous tin, Vixen provides women with a discrete, yet attractive, alternative they love, in an otherwise male dominated category.

Vixen Condoms are an ultra thin, premium quality, coloured condom that are available in two formats; an attractive tin that holds 3 condoms and a refill pack that holds 12 condoms.

‘We are very excited about the launch of Vixen Condoms. After 12 months researching what women want we are confident that they will love using Vixen. Importantly, Vixen takes the embarrassment out of purchasing condoms,” said Stacey James, Vixen Spokesperson.

Vixen Condoms have arrived at a timely occasion with reported Chlamydia rates having doubled between 2001 and 2005 with the biggest increase in the 20-29 year age group. As condoms are the only contraception that can prevent the spread of sexually transmitted infections (STIs) they are a critical element in the fight to improve sexual health for all Australians.

“Women’s health has always been important to Cottons and we are thrilled to team up with a charity with the same health objectives for women in mind,” added Richard Arbon, Cottons.

Australian women can feel good all over knowing that $1 from every pack of Vixen Condoms sold is donated to the Marie Stopes Sex Appeal – to improve the health of women and their families in developing countries and Indigenous Australia.

You’ll find Vixen Condoms conveniently located next to the feminine hygiene products in Kmart stores, Brazilian Butterfly salons and specially selected retail outlets.

I don't think they'll move that much product if they're encouraging "discrete" sales...
